What is Soteriology? Soteriology is the study of salvation. Salvation is for everyone, when Christ came to die for our sins, he gave us choice to repent and believe the Gospel or die in our sins. What is Salvation? The act of being saved from sin and its consequences, such as death and separation from God. Salvation is deliverance to be deliver from sin by putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ. In Ephesians 3:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. Going back to John 3, in John 3:17-18 - For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. A person that put there in faith Christ he or she is a newborn again believer, 2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things become new. We can look back into Ezekiel 36:26-27 - A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgment, and do them.
